Satiating the Munchies

I am an absolute sucker for all things handmade, and I've been an avid collector of cutesy, whimsical earrings, eccentric earrings with character or earrings with stories behind them (even though most of my earrings just end up as displays cos I can hardly be arsed to change my studs... dunno so many piercings for wat also)

Behold, my latest purchases from [ Etsy.com ] ^^

CUTE ANOTTT :D

I got the milk-n-cookies in remembrance of a darling [ girlfriend ] whom I used to share-room with, who had to have milk and cookies after dinner every night, before she goes to bed! heehee

BTW these are the Etsians I got em from:

Milk-n-cookies -> [ CuteAbility ] and Sushi -> [ WHYTRASH ]
Check out their shops :)

Can't wait for my new yummy earrings to arrive!!

Eyes wide shut

It is 10.16pm.
I am wide awake.
The boyfriend and the kitteh are snoring beside me already.
The boyfriend in periodic alternates of snorts and lawnmower drones; the kitteh in little squeaky wheezes.

*Sigh* so cute my two darlings.

Meet Jimmy.

We had a 10-minute affair.

It left me scarred forever.

. . . . .

AND I LOVE IT!!! :D:D:D

Jimmy seemed suprised that -

1) I've been tattooed before, and that my previous tatt was 10 times bigger than this one (he probably thought I was a first-timer wanting a tiny little flower on my wrist)

2) that I am a high school teacher. He said that my students must think I am the coolest teacher in school with tatts. Hell yeah they do :P

Eddie jogged from his office from one end of the city to the other to be with me and hold my hand and let me dig my nails into his palm while I winced in pain! Love you lots lots lots honeybumbums ♥ ♥ ♥

. . . . .

Cakiepoo and Aunty just dropped by with a tub of homemade bubur chacha. Love you two lots lots lots too!! ♥ ♥ ♥ I am super duper itching to open the tub, but I shall be nice and wait till the mister gets home from work :)

RAWR

Usually when I'm doing in-class support, I try not to be involved with the management of the class (because it's not my class anyway, I'd be interfering with the teacher, plus I'm not getting paid to stress over it)

But today I just lost my cool and blew my top when a couple of the rugby boys started kicking a table around when I was working with my kid.

I think the silence and obedience that followed was actually because the students never even suspected that there's a dragon lady hiding underneath the cover of the meek little Asian special-needs teacher who always sat in the corner of the class and never spoke a word to anyone else other than the student she is working with.

:)

It's been a long day. I really should be going home before they lock the gates and activate the alarms.

Love Sundays!

Slept in this morning and woke up sandwiched between the boyfriend and the cat.

I'd had the weirdest dream about my tattooist (who somehow looked like a John Travolta on steroids) not being able to do my tattoo because it was too small, and therefore resulting in me having to settle for a puny little generic flower doodled on the spot and ending up not having it done anyway because something happened which involved lots of construction workers and a cement mixer on a contruction site outside the tattoo parlour and I can't remember what else anymore wtf.

Anyhoos.

I was so bothered by the dream I wanted to go to the city right after I woke up, to ask the friendly tattoo people whether or not my design was really too small to put on my tiny wrist.
So we went.
I had a glimpse of my tattooist, whom the male receptionist passed on my queries to (and whom was busy etching a colourful backpiece on a fat lady)
He said it was ok.

It's weird that I'm feeling freaked out about getting a tattoo less than an eighth the size of the one I already have.
Eddie says I shouldn't be because I've been through the whole process before, but that, perhaps, is precisely why I am... because I still remember how much I cringed and winced at the incessant drilling of the needle... and because this new one is so small, by the time my brain gets accustomed to the pain, the whole thing would've been over.

ANYHOOS.

We decided to spoil ourselves with breakfast at Bubbles...

My Big Breakfast + hazelnut latte, and Eddie's eggs benedict with smoked salmon and capers + hot chocolate

Indulgence is having my Sunday big brekkies without having to smell of bacon afterwards or tackle the aftermath (read: dirty dishes + bacon grease all over the stove) :)))

Walked around Queen St Mall for a bit.
Got a hot new top from Forever New (I can't wait for summer to wear it!!!)
Eddie got a(nother) soccer ball from Rebel Sports to add to his growing collection of balls.

Yes Eddie loves his balls. *smirks*

We ALMOST bought gorgeous new matching watches because the shop had this 18-month interest-free repayment plan thingy.
:(
Evil place, that. EEEEEEE-VILLLL

I wants that watch *whinge*

Am still looking for THE black carryall/tote.

Stopped by the Sunday Market on Eagle Street pier to get daddy's birthday pressie, but the stall was already packing up.
Bought a colourful windmill on a stick for our garden from a funny black man
Oh-so-happifying, colours make me happy!
And Gosh how I love market people too :)
Andrew's cutting board stall was there but he was nowhere to be seen.
Eddie wanted to get a german sausage *smirks again* but they were sold out.
We got a cup of icy-cold pure strawberry juice each (which was more like strawberry OOZE... it was so THICK and gooey we couldn't finish it)

Spotted my teacher aide Janet whose husband owns the stall selling licorice, and went over to say Hi.
I'm not a big fan of sweets, but Eddie got some sour Cola licorice and OMFG IT WAS SO GOOD MUST TRY OK.

Eddie wanted to insisted demanded on playing soccer :P
Julia and Kaka and I watched the boys play while we just sat on the grass and enjoyed the beautiful weather (Wish you were there too Rhonda!)

And because I was supposed to do the groceries to make dinner but I didn't because I was too busy enjoying the sunshine, we ate out again for dinner.

Was freaking CRAVING for char kuay teow with lots of sea 'ham' (clams) + chilli potong
Depressing OK!
In the end found substitute at the Thai restaurant next to Nando's & Miss India @ St. Lucia
A bit expensive la but it did the job

Since Woolies and Coles were closed already (why the fuck do they close so early on weekends when that's the only time people can afford to do their groceries!!!) we went to IGA Milton instead to get milk and bread.
I got 2 Litres of Barambah Organics milk!! (Yes I am obsessed with it)

Been craving for Guiness since reading [Kenny Sia's blog] last night so we dropped by the bottleshop to get a couple of cans of draught
Died laughing drinking over Whose Line Is It Anyway

Work tomorrow!
No more three-day weekends for Ms. Siong BOO :(

And just like that, he reached in, curled his fingers around my heart, and ripped it out of my ribcage.

There, plump and red and throbbing in his palm, he clenched and crushed it and watched it bleed dry.

I feel oh-so-flattered when people use my photos as their Facebook profile pics! xD

I should start charging...
Coming to Australia was one of the reasons I had wanted to break up.
Who would've known, 7 years later I'd be watching you play basketball again.

The last time I was home, I finally got rid of all the things I've hung on to
Photos, notes, cards and little tokens of love
Because I have found my happiness, and you have found yours

Still I can't help but wonder
Walking around Sydney as if we've been nothing but friends all along
Do you still think about the past?

Was thinking of checking out the Paniyiri (Greek fest) today but couldn't be arsed cos I would much rather sleep in and laze the day away.

A week ago I had immense cravings for Greek salad, so I made my own...

It was pretty damn good :)

. . .

I went for the most awesomest massage today.

We had initially wanted to try the Thai massage place @ Hawken, but it was closed. Eddie recommended the Chinese place at Toowong Village and suggested I give them a go, since that's where he used to get his massages done.

I was a little skeptical at first because 1) I was really looking forward to a relaxing Thai massage with lots of stretching, and 2) all my past experiences with traditional Chinese reflexology massages are nasty and not anywhere near "relaxing".

But I was pleasantly suprised because the place specializes in tuina massage, and it was NOTHING like reflexology! My masseuse Julie was really good (she's from Kuching! :D), and Eddie liked his as well. I left the place floating on a cloud.

The massage must've been damn effective, cos I literally dozed off in the middle of a Scrabble game with Eddie, and slept like a baby for 3 hours!

I forgot what the name of the massage place is called, but it's on the top level of Toowong Village next to K-mart. Give it a go. They're good and best of all, it's affordable :D

I am tired.
Mentally, physically, emotionally.
It's PMS, because it's the week before my period, and it always happens the week before my period.

Thing is, I'm not supposed to have PMSes because I'm on the pill

O.o

I've been so frickin emo lately.

Futsal is fucking frustrating the beejezus outta me.
In addition to my non-existent reflex and coordination, I sometimes do not even have any idea what I am doing on the court.
I feel like how I used to feel back in karate days, when during matches I would get whacked and scored against before I even knew what was happening.
And I feel like I'm letting my team-mates down.

I took up soccer because I wanted to learn something new.
I hadn't thought I'd be selected for MASCA but I was.
More and more, I'm finding I can't cope.
I do not have the foundation.
What I need is hours and hours of drills- long passes, short passes, and lots and lots of shooting
But MASCA is only days away, HOW?
Monday is going to be our last training session already. LAST!!

And the nail. GOD, THE FUCKING TOENAIL.
Everyone thinks I should just yank it out.
I think I should too.

I just... don't have the balls to.

And as long as I have the damned toenail on my mind, I can't kick.
And what's a striker who can't kick the ball?
I was so conscious of the stupid toe the whole training that I buang many opportunities to score, choosing instead to pass the ball rather than take a shot.

Eddie tells me I am being too hard on myself.
I know I am, but what can I do about it?
That's me.

I was so upset I burst into tears at the train station.
The darling was willing to head back home and give the big game a miss if I was feeling too miserable to go ahead to watch it.
I didn't have tissues with me, because I didn't bring a bag with me, and I was conscious of my mascara streaking down my face because it wasn't waterproof.
Still I couldn't stop crying.
It was horribly embarrassing, and I was embarrassing my poor boyfriend.

I insisted we go anyway so we went.
What's the use of staying home moping, right?
I felt rude not socialising with Eddie's colleagues (choosing to hide my swollen eyes under my cap and hoodie instead), but I just couldn't.
I was a bleeping wet chicken throughout the whole night.

Feeling much better now though.
The game did take my mind off things a bit.

Sigh. WTF is wrong with me?

Monday, June 29, 2009

I decided to spoil myself today, so I bought me half a black-forest cake :D

But it sucked because there wasn't enough sour cherries in it. They didn't even crown the cake with WHOLE preserved cherries, like how they do back home... they only put halves. Sibeh kiamsiap =.=

. . .

Having dinner with the girlfriend and my ex's mom tomorrow. How weird is that?

Yours was the first album I ever bought.

I played your songs when I was in bed sick for days, thinking I was dying. I played your songs at my birthday party. And I played your songs as I sat on the patio, watching the local kampung kids cycle past my house.

I fantasized about meeting you, taking a picture with you, and becoming the envy of all my friends.

I was 8 years old then.

15 years later, I bought a compilation of your best songs for my boyfriend for Valentine's Day, because he loves you as much as I do.

Neither of us would have ever guessed that merely a few months later, you'd be gone.

RIP Michael.
You've been part of my life, and always will be.

A picture says more than a thousand words.

Fifa Confederations Cup in South Africa, in pictures. [ CLIK ]

I wanna take photos like that!!
Gotta love dentists needles

I JUST HAD ONE THREE TIMES THE SIZE OF THIS OK!!!!

Or so it seemed, that dreaded thing, when Dr. Wilkinson loomed over me and lowered it into my mouth.

Doc said that my gums were seriously inflammed from the food that was getting trapped in the gap in between the teeth, and that there was a lot of bleeding. I can't feel my mouth now, but was told that the tooth will hurt for the next few days. There is also a chance that the nerves could be affected but... let's just hope not.

$250 poorer. Shit. There goes my shopping + celebratory night out drinking + Sydney spending money.

Thursday, June 18, 2009

I ate too much before bed last night, and had the most disturbing dream that I was pregnant. O.o

WTF IS IT WITH ME AND PREGNANCIES THESE DAYS

Wednesday, June 17, 2009

You know your cat is FAT when your visitor asks you if she's pregnant.

Monday, June 15, 2009

Speaking of shit-stirers. Check out this Facebook Group called [ GANYANG MALAYSIA ].

The Malaysians, in defense, have come up with their [ own group ] in attempt to get the Indonesian group banned.

Although I am not in favour of either group, I have reported the former to Facebook admin on the basis of offensive racist content, because racism is one thing I cannot and will not tolerate. FERGODSSAKE Malaysians, if you wanna do something about it, take action and REPORT lah. Facebook is bound to take notice if they receive 4000 reports of complaint! What good does merely joining a rally group do??
