I decided to spoil myself today, so I bought me half a black-forest cake :D

But it sucked because there wasn't enough sour cherries in it. They didn't even crown the cake with WHOLE preserved cherries, like how they do back home... they only put halves. Sibeh kiamsiap =.=

. . .

Having dinner with the girlfriend and my ex's mom tomorrow. How weird is that?

Yours was the first album I ever bought.

I played your songs when I was in bed sick for days, thinking I was dying. I played your songs at my birthday party. And I played your songs as I sat on the patio, watching the local kampung kids cycle past my house.

I fantasized about meeting you, taking a picture with you, and becoming the envy of all my friends.

I was 8 years old then.

15 years later, I bought a compilation of your best songs for my boyfriend for Valentine's Day, because he loves you as much as I do.

Neither of us would have ever guessed that merely a few months later, you'd be gone.

RIP Michael.
You've been part of my life, and always will be.

A picture says more than a thousand words.

Fifa Confederations Cup in South Africa, in pictures. [ CLIK ]

I wanna take photos like that!!
Gotta love dentists needles

I JUST HAD ONE THREE TIMES THE SIZE OF THIS OK!!!!

Or so it seemed, that dreaded thing, when Dr. Wilkinson loomed over me and lowered it into my mouth.

Doc said that my gums were seriously inflammed from the food that was getting trapped in the gap in between the teeth, and that there was a lot of bleeding. I can't feel my mouth now, but was told that the tooth will hurt for the next few days. There is also a chance that the nerves could be affected but... let's just hope not.

$250 poorer. Shit. There goes my shopping + celebratory night out drinking + Sydney spending money.

I ate too much before bed last night, and had the most disturbing dream that I was pregnant. O.o

WTF IS IT WITH ME AND PREGNANCIES THESE DAYS

Wednesday, June 17, 2009

You know your cat is FAT when your visitor asks you if she's pregnant.

Speaking of shit-stirers. Check out this Facebook Group called [ GANYANG MALAYSIA ].

The Malaysians, in defense, have come up with their [ own group ] in attempt to get the Indonesian group banned.

Although I am not in favour of either group, I have reported the former to Facebook admin on the basis of offensive racist content, because racism is one thing I cannot and will not tolerate. FERGODSSAKE Malaysians, if you wanna do something about it, take action and REPORT lah. Facebook is bound to take notice if they receive 4000 reports of complaint! What good does merely joining a rally group do??

Adrian caught some silver perch from the Coast today, and gave us a couple.

This one was still alive and swimming when Eddie left home to pick me up from school!

Kitteh meets feesh

Steamed fish on the menu tomorrow, yay :D

Monday, June 8, 2009

After overdosing on coconut cream yesterday (my sinfully rich bubur chacha and fish head curry turned out FANTASTIC), we had to have something-something-bi-bim-bap tonight (sizzling beef in hot stone pot drizzled with drowned in cream cheese & mayo) at our favourite Korean spot at Surfers.

Washed it down with a big cone of gelato each. Bliss. x)

It was such an impromptu decision to go to Gold Coast today. I should've known better than to think I'd be able to just window shop at Harbour Town without spending!

Some tops for me, a nice jacket for Eddie, and a cosy winter jumper for kitteh..

Muy bien?

Time to sleep. Work tomorrow!

We had guests last night! Eddie was out jogging when he came across 4 German tourists whose van had broken down at the Gailey Road roundabout. They had just arrived from Sydney and were on their way to Cairns! Apparently the breakdown caused a huge traffic jam and Eddie had not only helped with directing traffic, he had offered the Germans our living room to spend the night.

So Alex, Yelto, Nicole I and Nicole II came to our place, and we got to know them a little bit more over pizza and Poker Star on TV.

We had to leave them cos we were going out fishing. We got home late so we woke up late this morning. They were already gone and had left a note.

What a totally unpremeditated night.

I couldn't have been more proud of my boyfriend, he's always ever so willing to lend a helping hand. You wouldn't do this in Malaysia lah of course, cos your plasma would probably disappear before midnight together with your "guests"... but these people were genuinely in need of help, and even though we didn't do much, I'm glad we could help :)

Some photos from fishing...

The boys with two of their Threadies

My first Jew!

Mariah in for a Sashimi feast

We caught lots of Jews and Threadies on soft plastics, but only kept the Threadies cos Jews don't taste very nice.

Gotta run now!

I've taken a sick day off work today, after having woken up with a whopping headache and feeling feverish . Feeling slightly better now after the extra sleep. It's wet and pouring outside and I'm wrapped up in my blanket like a dumpling, having hot soup and buttered toasts with a new stash of Coles tissue boxes to back me up.

Picked the girlfriend up from the airport last night. She had bought me the darling-est present from Sydney - a little 招財貓 (Fortune Cat) in the form of a wobbly 不倒翁!! What's a 不倒翁 called in English?? (Literally translated it means a 'doll which never gets knocked down')

LOVESS ♥ ♥ ♥

Just the inspiration I need to get me through these final few weeks of the CELTA course. Thanks babe! :))

Back to work. First 60 mins assessed Teaching Practice tonight! *groan*

Tried out my new TT Switchblades yesterday with no luck. Love the feel of the vibrations, but the river was filled with so much debris it was disgusting. No wonder City Cat services had to stop for so many days after the recent downpours!

We did catch a couple of catties though. Good old dependable catties, fishing would be so boring without their annoying abundance :)
