Instead of buying any more handbags this year, I decided to treat myself to a whole week of GLUTTONY- buying whatever I want to eat without having to feel guilty... So for the past week, I've been indulging in frothy takeaway coffees, slightly overpriced homemade soups/risotto from the cafe next to my workplace, that assorted sushi/sashimi bento I'd been wanting to have for ages (but hadn't because it was slightly too pricey for a meal), snacks from the korean supermarket, and hearty brekkies/fruits/veggies/loads of other goodies from the markets, etc. etc. without having to feel the pinch everytime I take a note out of my wallet.
And instead of splurging on a spa and massage session for the boyfriend and I, I decided to "treat" myself to a good women's doctor, a PAP smear, a blood test, and an overall medical check-up.
Not as enjoyable as a spa session would've been, but I'm certainly quite proud of myself.

The sweetest thing
I was watching a choppy movie on the old telly in the living room.
"Come watch it in my room," he says, "it's better on the big screen!" (referring to his new flat screen TV)
"But don't you need to study?"
"Don't worry, I can study with the TV in the background."
So I watched the movie in his room. He was lying on the bed next to me with his book open in front of him.
After a while I started wondering how he could be so amazingly undistracted by the movie... I glanced over and saw that the darling had his fingers stuffed into his ears, poring over his textbook with the greatest look of concentration on his face.
Bless.
