Lulu and Booboo on the CityCat

Sunday, January 18, 2009

I come home to find him in a sweat after washing his car. We laze around for a bit, then go out for lunch and grocery shopping. We feed each other prized crispy crunchy burnt bits of McDonalds fries. We buy fruit and bread and the same bottles of cheap organic shampoos. We come home and muck around. We cuddle up for a nap after a steamy shag session.

He wakes up and I feel him plant a kiss on my forehead before he heads out for soccer. He comes home from soccer, takes a shower, cleans up the cat's vomit. He starts cooking dinner and tells me to stay out of the kitchen so that I won't get the smell of his cooking in my hair.

I flick through pages of the February issue of Cleo until he declares dinner ready, and am still flicking pages while picking at my food when he does the dishes. As I finally bring my plate to the sink, he announces that he'll make char siu for dinner tomorrow, my favourite.

Made with love: Honeysoy-glazed chicken thigh fillets, scrambled eggs and mixed veggies with rice

I must have done something really good in my previous life to deserve him.
I have strong opinions that I do not neccessarily know how to express.

Beauty Essential #16:

My best investment EVER! No more clumpy mascara or seperating lashes with a safety pin. Simply ingenious.
Breakfast this morning

... be ham/cheese/pineapple danish and a hot mocha. God knows I need the caffeine.
Life Lesson #23:

NEVER DRINK COFFEE BEFORE BEDTIME

I love watching the boys play. I'm getting to know more of Eddie's mates, they're a lovely bunch and I can see why he loves hanging out with them so much. :)

I wish we had a girls' team. Anyone up for casual soccer?

I got my man a little suprise.

He's been wanting one for ages.
Faster come back already! *excited*

Someday soon
You're gonna catch that dream you've been chasing
Someday soon
They're gonna write your name in the sky

All you need is just to believe it
You know you're my hero
You're gonna be a star tonight

It's a love/hate relationship with airports, depending on whether I'm in the departure hall or the arrival.
I can't sleep when he's not in bed. Without him, I have no routine.

Beauty Essential #14:

Smells heavenly too
Some days I'm good at making friends. Some days I suck.

Tonight I'm just grateful for the friends I have.
I love how you pay for two items at the organic grocers, and the cashier doesn't even bother asking whether or not you'd like a bag. They simply assume you'd be environmentally conscious enough to say no.
'Tis a dull and mind-numbing job, filing...

Onion rings and a Whopper Jr. for lunch! NOM NOM

Thursday, January 8, 2009

I went for a drive tonight. It's been a while- just me, my car, the road, and a good CD.

Unleaded does feel better to drive on.
Maybe I did feel a little neglected.
"SO... is he a Christian?"

1. Yes he's a Christian. In fact, his whole family is Christian. They practically live in church. He smokes, drinks, gambles, parties, swears, pick fights, and fucks. He goes to church every Sunday and mumbles his repentance. Then it all starts over again. But that's okay, because he's a Christian.

2. No he's not a Christian. He secretly orders lunch for the homeless old lady sitting behind us who can only afford to buy drinks. He respects different religions and beliefs. He believes that you do good because you want to, not because your religion wants you to. And he believes that as long as you know you're doing what's right, that's what matters most.

"Oh but he's not Christian. You should've known better, Jody."

FFS, gimme a break already.

Last night I had a disturbing dream about druggies in a Thai slum, after falling asleep reading a particular chapter.

Lately I've been having twisted, uncanny dreams almost every night. Two nights ago I had a nightmare about going to the dentist (I have dentophobia). And the night before I dreamt of Eddie's ex wtf.

I wonder what I'll dream of tonight.

I am munching on my little gingerbread Christmas tree as I type.
Yums. $1.49 from Coles. Go grab.
We let Satay go. Photobucket

It was a reluctant decision, but we weren't sure whether we'd be able to commit to another pet, especially when BTS (Blue-Tongued Skinks) are known to live to ripe ages of up to 15-30 years.

Secondly, we finally managed to convince ourselves that it might not be such a brilliant idea after all to have a cat and a lizard under the same roof, particularly when the former is notorious for stalking and pursuing the latter's species to their untimely demise.

More importantly, we figured Satay would be much happier in his own natural habitat. Besides,we'll be sure to still see him around.

Goodbye darling. Take care of yourself.

Addicted to cheezburger lingo. Klik.
$168 to fix a bloody hole in my tooth. Blimey. And Dr. Ciaran says I've got two more cavities that need fixing. And that's just the left side, cos he didn't take an x-ray of the right side.

The lower half of my jaw is still numb from anesthetic, I could be drooling out of the corner of my mouth for all I know, because I cannot feel anything.
Religious people can be so incredibly myopic.

Tuesday, January 6, 2009

It was fate that I called Eddie (from Coles) at 7.08pm to ask whether or not he'd have lasagne for dinner. If I hadn't, he wouldn't have traipsed to his room to retrieve his phone, thus he wouldn't have discovered the lil fella basking in the middle of the carpeted corridor under the ceiling light, before a certain frivolous kitteh in the house did.

Say hello to Satay!

Oh, herro x)

Why diz rock be hairy?

U gots to be keedin' meeh. U guys can gives me a bettah house den dis!

Oooh adventure..

Gonna check out the pet shop tomorrow and get some proper equipment. But shhh... we're keepin him against the law.
