Fucked up.
My dad's car got stolen.
My sister and I both put this up on our Facebook statuses:
Out of my 1040 "friends" on Facebook, only one person has helped to repost.

Fuckin "friends" my arse.
Sorry angry need to rant.

Panadol, Nurofen, antibiotics
It's been a week after my tooth extraction and the abnormal pain, numb and depressing, drove me back to see Dr. Roger today.

He had a look at the wound and told me I had lost my blood clot.
I know I lose my temper sometimes, I lose my sense of direction and I lose my glasses in the morning but...
How the hell did I lose a blood clot?

24 teeth left
I'm STARVING and insanely craving for hot wonton soup, but the dentist said not to have anything hot and soupy because that would make the blood flow again.
What to do?
D:
**Edit: I got the wonton soup. Yes I've always been the kinda person who does exactly what she's told NOT to do.

Ben Bradshaw
There's something incredibly attractive about a person who lives with an open heart and an open mind, and who is willing to accept, appreciate and learn new languages and cultures.
I'm lucky I work with people like that every day.

Melbourne Cup Day
One of the most important days in Australia. It's the race that stops the nation!
It's an exciting day at school as students and teachers alike dress up and bet on horses, and everybody will be watching the race together and cheering for their horses on the big screen.
And I'm all dressed up for it too...

Except that now I'm gonna be watching the race at home alone :(
Why?
Because I just HAD to still be sick today, FML.
I don't know if this happens to anybody else, but when I'm down with a cold and cough, I tend to get coughing fits when I talk too much.
And I don't know why, but it tends to always happen at the most inconvenient times.
I think I've pretty much freaked out all the new students in my class this morning with my horrendous coughing fits. Whenever I feel one coming and try to surpress it, I turn purple and end up choking so badly I sound like I'd puke my guts out. Luckily my classroom is just next to the toilet, and on a couple of occasions I've had to rush out of class with my face the shade of an angry tomato, to relieve myself by coughing my lungs out in the privacy of two shut doors and a cubicle. I'd come back to class red-faced and teary-eyed and apologized to my poor students, feeling embarrassed and slightly amused at the various expressions of shock, alarm and concern I see on their faces. I had to end my class early because I was so winded I couldn't speak any more.
I wasn't sure if I was able to carry on with my next class and I took the whole morning break catching my breath and deciding whether I should stay or leave (because I really really wanna stay for the race), but finally opted to go home so that I don't alarm another class-ful of students with my mad coughing. Super duper grateful to my DOS and ADOS for being understanding and for taking on my classes on such a last minute notice!
Alright the race is starting in minutes, I'm off to switch on the telly and cheer on my horse.
I hope it wins!!

Trust Lucia to scout out these super deals as always. I swear the girl has at least 20 of these links listed under 'Favourites' that she religiously clicks on every day!

EDDIE ZHANG WE IS GOINGS TO WATCH MUUU-VEEEE WHEN U IS COMES BACK :D
I also managed to nab this amazing deal at [www.spreets.com.au]. $400+ worth of beauty treatments for $89 ONLY!!

Last time Lucia managed to get coupons on [www.scoopon.com.au] the four of us had enjoyed a magnificent exotic three-course meal at Tukka (website here) for only $35 per person!

Go check out these websites NAO, they feature a different deal every day so be sure to check daily and you just might be able to grab yourself a bargain :) Now thank me for sharing! Happy shopping!

Feeling spring-y and... itchy
Managed to pry myself away from the computer and force myself to go out for a healthy long walk along the river in the evening. The weather was so gorgeous it'd be a crime to stay home and gorge on junk-food like I usually do!
Had brought my phone along so here are some photos..

Spring is my favourite time of the year because that's when the jacarandas bloom and there are plenty of random pretty bursts of purple everywhere in Brisbane.

The newly upgraded bike/pedestrian way is pretty awesome as pedestrians no longer have to dodge scary cyclists... or is it the other way round? heh.
Fallen jacarandas scattered on the ground.

Soon the streets will be blanketed with purple, after a few more spring showers! ♥

It was a nice leisurely 4km stroll, except that...
I had given myself a haircut earlier on (trimmed my fringe a bit).

Now normally this wouldn't have been a problem had I dusted myself off properly, but because I obviously HADN'T, some bits of hair were still stuck on my chest and kept poking me under my bra as I walked.
I was squirming like a worm all the way and fervently hoping that nobody had seen me. It pretty much took all my will-power to stop myself from stuffing my hand down my shirt and relieving myself from the horrendous prickles with a good scratch! I was SO HAPPY when I finally got home...
Anyway, enough of itchy bossoms. I'll leave you with another photo taken with my phone camera, when Yvonne and I went to watch the boys play in the AUG tournament at Greenslopes on Sunday
:)

Long live blue skies, sunshine and cotton-candy clouds.

"A dentist is someone who puts metal in your mouth and takes coins out of your pocket."
I'm sorry I'm sure you're all tired of me whinging about the cost of seeing the dentist already... but it IS so very expensive to have healthy teeth here in Australia! O.O
At least I'm having a nice lunch before my appointment :)

Bubble tea and sushi (fresh salmon/avocado + sweet chilli prawn/peach/cream cheese) from my favourite sushi spot next to Queens Plaza.

Birthday shoutout
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to a girl who is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside, and who has been a continuous source of positive energy and inspiration to those who are lucky enough to know her.

Despite getting to know each other by a very uhh.. unusual way *winks*, I am very blessed indeed to be able to call this babe a friend.
It's spring in Brisbane so I thought I'd pick some birthday flowers from our garden for you :) and I want to say that the world would definitely be a less colourful place without you!

So have a fantabulous birthday, and hope u get spoilt rotten on your special day. ♥

Hello Sunshine!
The girlfriend and I, on a spontaneous whim, decided to go on a road trip to the Sunshine Coast.
We went to the Eunmundi art and crafts markets. It's been a while since I've been there, and I love this vibrant multicultural market with all its diversity and character. It's one of those lovely places where you can fully indulge your five senses- There's so much to see, hear, taste, smell and feel!
Unfortunately this is the only photo I've got from the markets...

... because I was too busy having both hands full with food the rest of the time!
We chomped down German sausage, gourmet calamari (pic), mango & macadamia muffin, sample shots of banana smoothie, kettle corn, homemade lemonade, gingerbeer, curried macadamias...
After spending a fair bit of moolah, we picked a random beach on the refidex, tapped it into the GPS and found ourselves at...

Beautiful Maroochydore Beach @ Cotton Tree :)
Brought my new book along!

Had a swell time baking in the sun and then trying to catch (with no success) what looked like little baby shovelnoses swimming around my feet in the cool, crystal clear water.
Summer is finally here! :D
