Sunday morning with our furry loves

Morning kisses for daddy!

Had fallen asleep with one...

... And woken up with the other

The kitteh spying on her neighbour Leo

And the pooch just.... plain clingy

♥ ♥ ♥
I feel like an overinflated water balloon. My eyes are teary and my nose is running. I wish I had chosen to not go for futsal this morning because I had felt it coming. I wonder if laryngitis has come back to get me again, because I've been having a scratchy throat since last week, and with all the stress from school + work + lack of sleep, it's just erupted into a full-blown flu.

I was so fucking stressed out after work yesterday that I almost burst into tears when I met Eddie in the city. How can I complain, though? I only have a few kids to worry about, compared to the other teachers. The level of stress I've seen these people put up with is astounding!

And how can ANYONE do this work + part-time study thing??? I'm only working 3 days too... If I were working full-time I probably would have ended up in a mental hospital long ago.

I'm burningg outttt.

. . .

I'm glad I did go for futsal this morning though... Just the chance to focus on the ball and forget eveything else is a much-needed break. I've got great team mates, great coaches and an amazingly supportive boyfriend. :) Anas and Apit are so wonderfully patient with us, and the girls are sweethearts. I'm still getting my head around the lingo though... listening to West Malaysians chatter away in Malay still amuse me so because it's like listening to something straight out of TV :P

I also discovered my "powershot", and Apit taught me how to juggle the ball. And oh, I LOVE MY NEW SHOES ♥ ♥ ♥ Such a huge difference it makes playing with proper fitting shoes! :D

. . .

On a seperate note.

Been wanting to get this baby for YOINKS now but been holding back because I've been so desperately trying to save moolah :(

Eddie thinks it's time I get a whole shelf to house all my cameras.

. . .

ANYHOOS. Back to bed and hot honey and tissues!

Sigh.

Eddie bought me a little surprise today.

Ain't he the sweetest!

DAMN CHIO KAN?! ♥ ♥ ♥

Now I can clip it onto my lanyard and not have to keep carrying my big fat pencil case around at work ^^

. . .

Am supposed to be asleep now cos we're waking up in like, 4 hrs to watch the CHAMPS LEAGUE FINAL @ Milton, yay!

Had planned to crash all day tomorrow, BUT... decided to go back to school instead to help a student, because she's doomed to fail her oral presentation if I don't she needs all the extra help she can get.

AND AFTER THAT, it's another 4 hrs' worth of solid CELTA input, from 5.30-9.30pm. Joy. I foresee multiple cans of blue-n-silver already...
Every so often I marvel at how full of bullshit people can be.

Do people think I'm full of bullshit too?

. . .

I can't sleep. At this time of the night, I'd be enjoying a hot bowl of kolomee back in Miri. Glorious, shamelessly caloric and decadently greasy charsau-yiu mien from A1.

I could buy three bowls of charsau-yiu mien for the price of the Fillet-o-fucking-fish burger I had for dinner just now. =(

Saturday morning brekky

Bacon & eggs, grilled tomatoes and avocado on toast drizzled with honey, washed down with fresh banana smoothie (not in picture) ;)

Saturday and Sunday mornings are most precious to Eddie and I, because for 4 years of my uni life I had worked on weekends- work started at 6am and by the time I got home at around 10am, I would usually go straight back to bed and wake up to only a couple of hours of daylight left.

Because of work, I often had to turn down nights out with friends. And there were times when I'd spent the whole night out clubbing and go straight to work after... those days I almost died.

It's been 3 months since I've stopped working at Rainesforest and I still can't believe I can wake up at 9 to my darlings snuggled up beside me, roll around in bed for half an hour, take all the time I want conjuring up an amazing breakfast and be able to enjoy it over telly.

Don't take your weekends for granted, people! =)

Eddie holding a very annoyed kitteh. We couldn't resist attempting it after watching [ THIS ].

On rainy winter days like these, when I crave for duck rice, heartwarming curries and apple strudel, I think of wonderful Perth.

Happy things :)

1) Hugs and kisses

2) Hot chocolate and donuts

3) Sandpaper kisses from kitteh

4) Sitting down to a mean pan-grilled scotch steak for dinner, cooked just the way you like it...

5) ... AND being told not to worry about the dishes :D :D :D

Jazzin it up, baby
I am now convinced that women's futsal boots do not exist in the whole of Brisbane.

Oh Rainy, Rainy Day...

Perrin Park is no longer a grassy oval, it's a bloody LAKE.

I'd organized an excursion to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary for my kids today, but I had to call it off. After all that work, too, on tedious paperwork and excursion risk assessment and rounding up signatures of approval from the bosses.

. . .

I'm exhausted but so terribly restless. Ironic, isn't it? Routine just drains the life out of me. Perhaps tomorrow I'll treat myself to that Black Forest cake I've been craving for.

Happy Birthday again [ Kookies ] darling. ♥ ♥

I've taken better photos, but something about this souky one just makes me melt and fall in love with him all over again! x)

Teachers in the whole of Queensland went on strike today, and parents were advised to keep their kids at home as there would be no formal classes at schools.

News link here: [ CLIK ].

Ignorant fucktards who know fiddlesticks about the profession should keep their dumbass comments to themselves.

I didn't go to work because I totally supported the strike and I wanted to check out the rally, but by the time I got to the Convention Centre it was surrounded by police and news vans and the teachers were nowhere to be seen outside. I circled around for a while but unable to find free parking space, I eventually returned home to watch it on the news on telly.

Education Queensland teachers are the lowest paid in Australia compared to other states, and for all the shit they put themselves through everyday, I agree it's time they stopped putting up with shitty pay.

Ohai. You has meeted mai boyfrend?

I love running in the morning!

It's just the waking up bit that's so HARD

We know for a fact that Mariah loves having a good snooze on soft, fat cushions.

I'd be insulted if she didn't look so cute.

Wesident pooch wuvs you
Soccer can be a little frustrating sometimes.

Having trained for years in a sport where scoring depends on the perfection of technique and its execution, I now find myself immersed in a game where technique means nothing without team communication.

It sounds silly, but I find it incredibly hard to yell out someone's name and tell them where to pass the ball, or to holler that I'm open.

Nevertheless, I must be doing something right... MASCA Sydney 2009, here we come :D
