Weekend...

Gone waay too quickly :(

As usual, we kicked off our weekend with a good hearty Saturday morning breakfast..

Picked Benjamin up from the airport early this morning. The Herbert St household is complete again! :)

We had planned to do a BBQ lunch and finally put our new BBQ to use, but then it started pouring cats and dogs so we postponed it -_-

This afternoon, while watching telly, we noticed an Asian guy in a flash new-looking BMW trying to park his car outside our house. And we kept looking and looking in amusement because he had absolutely NO idea what he was doing!! He had no idea how to parallel-park a car!! He spent a good 15 minutes jerking and reversing and adjusting the car, and he kept getting out to check his progress (WHAT PROGRESS?? The fella was still one foot away from the curb and more than a car's length from the car behind him bwahaha)

I think he became self-conscious when some people came to look at the junk we put out on our lawn (it's Curbside Collection Day tomorrow, and there's been a lot of 'scavengers' checking out the stuff other people put out on their lawns to see if there's anything worth salvaging), so this guy drove off and decided to park on the opposite side of the road. Same thing - reverse, jerk forward (sometimes with his handbrake on), step out of car, step in, adjust car again.

When it looked like he's finally happy with his shitty parking, he got out, rummaged through the boot for the longest time, and fished out two bags. Closed the boot, started to walk away but glanced back at his car, decided he didn't like his parking and promptly turned back, chucked the bags back into the boot and got into the car again.

By this time Eddie and I were already contemplating taking out the folding camp chairs and sitting outside on the deck to watch this fella.

The guy decided he needed to change spots again cos the more he adjusted his car, the more its butt was jutting out, so he moved two feet up the road... and repeated the whole process again.

OMG HILARIOUS.

By the time he was done (for real) and had finally walked off and left the car, Eddie and I decided to leave a note on his windscreen to let him know how much we appreciated the entertainment! *chuckle* (We're not usually this mean. Really. This guy was just too funny to pass up!)

I wanted to wait to see the guy's reaction but I fell asleep on the couch and when I woke up, the car was gone already :(

I can bet two cents though that he's never gonna park on our street again LOL.

Okay random picture of the day cos I stink like a rafflesia and desperately need to take a shower:

Overgrown weeds on our lily patch! kthxbai.
